Somerset County Archery Assoc.

Annual General Meeting & Election of Officers

Wed   24 April 2019  – 19:30 SCAA New Logo- small

Location :  Tor Sports and Leisure Centre, Street Road, Glastonbury BA6 9EF

All members are welcome whether to observe, vote and elect those you wish to run your Association.

A Committee meeting will follow the AGM. (Observation Only)

Officers are responsible for running the County Association, it’s Strategy, Coaching, Tournaments and a budget, currently around £26,500. There are just four meetings a year, unless you run for an Executive post and will enable you to have  a say in how your sport is run.

Election of Officers are made in accordance with the County’s Constitution with Nominations being made on the form at Appendix TR21 and must include a signed statement from the nominee agreeing to be nominated. All nominations must be received by the Association Secretary no later than 14 calendar days before the date of the AGM.

Regrettably due to ill health Paul Maines has had to step down  from his position as Chairman of the County and with the Development Officer also notifying his intention not to stand this year there is going to be changes to  Members who are on the Executive and responsible for the running of the your County Association.

However with Executive positions been available,  some additional positions not currently due for election may become available on the evening, so  I would strongly recommend that any archers who wish to help their County and Club attend.

More information on the SCAA web site or speak to Gillian Taylor-Moss (Secretary), Paul Maines  (Former Chairman) or Chris Johnson (Officer)
